Blood Flow Restriction Training · 4 Cuffs · Arms + Legs
Holtrow Surge™
More muscle. Faster recovery. From weights light enough to feel easy.
- Builds muscle at 20–30% of the weight
- Floods the muscle with blood — the pump that signals growth
- Ten minutes, two to four times a week
- No batteries, no app — just a gauge to read
Grow. Recover. Repeat.
Build muscle without lifting heavy.
Strap a cuff high on each arm or thigh, set the pressure, then lift something light. The muscle fills, the burn arrives, and it grows as if the weight were heavy — and recovers faster on the days you can't train hard. Ten minutes, two to four times a week.
One set · three jobs
Muscle built. Muscle kept. Muscle recovered.

On a GLP-1
Keep the muscle the scale takes.
- Protect lean mass — up to a third of GLP-1 weight loss can be muscle.
- Light enough — ten-minute sets that fit a low-energy day.

Past fifty
Strength held, as the years add up.
- Fights muscle loss — growth without loading old joints and tendons.
- Joint-kind — the signal of heavy training, a fraction of the wear.

Rehab & recovery
Train around an injury, not through it.
- Back sooner — what physios reach for when a limb can't take load.
- Better light days — holds the pump through deload weeks and travel.
The light-day secret
Grow on the days heavy isn't an option.
Pro athletes and clinics have used blood flow restriction for years. Four cuffs, one gauge you can read at a glance — for a fraction of the clinic price.
Start building — $129.90
How it works
Ten minutes. Four steps.
Wrap
A cuff high on each working arm or thigh. Snug, never painful.
Set the gauge
Squeeze the bulb to the target zone. Same pressure every session.
Light reps
30 reps, then 15/15/15 with short rests. The burn is the point.
Release
Twist the valve. Blood floods back in. Next set, or done.
The target zone
One number, hit every time.
Squeeze the bulb until the needle lands in the bronze band — firm enough to trap the pump, never a tourniquet. No app, no guessing, no drift session to session.
- Slows blood leaving the muscle — light weights feel heavy
- Blood floods in on release — the growth-signalling pump
- ~10-minute sets · 2–4× a week per muscle
Less pressure for arms, a little more for legs. The gauge means the same, repeatable stimulus every session.

What the research on blood flow restriction shows
Figures reflect published research on low-load blood-flow-restriction (BFR) training, not results of this device. Individual results vary. Holtrow Surge is a fitness & wellness device, not a medical treatment.
Good to know
Questions, answered
What exactly is blood flow restriction (BFR)?
A cuff sits near the top of a limb and inflates to a set pressure — enough to slow the blood leaving the muscle, but never to cut off the arterial supply. Training with very light weights then produces the deep "pump" and fatigue that normally only heavy lifting can. Published research shows this can build comparable muscle and strength at loads as light as 20–30% of a person's maximum. It's widely used in physiotherapy and by athletes on light or recovery days.
Does it really hold muscle during GLP-1 weight loss?
GLP-1 weight loss is famously indiscriminate — a large share of what's lost can be lean muscle unless it's actively trained. The catch is that low energy and small appetites make heavy lifting feel impossible. BFR is the workaround: short, light sessions that still deliver a strong growth signal, alongside enough protein. Holtrow Surge is a fitness device, not a medical treatment — a doctor is the right person to advise on any medication programme.
Is it safe? Who shouldn't use it?
Used correctly, BFR is well studied and considered low-risk for healthy adults. Do not use it with a history of blood clots or DVT, a clotting disorder, severe or uncontrolled high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, during pregnancy, or over an active infection or injury on the limb. Anyone on medication or with a medical condition should check with a doctor first. The cuff should never be so tight that the limb goes numb, cold or pale — snug pressure, not a tourniquet.
How tight should the cuff be?
That's what the gauge is for. Wrap it firm but comfortable, then squeeze the bulb until the needle sits in the target zone — less for arms, a little more for legs. There should be pressure and, within a few reps, a strong burn — but never sharp pain, numbness or tingling. The quick-start guide walks through finding the right number.
How often should it be used?
Two to four short sessions a week per muscle group is plenty. A session is about 10 minutes: one exercise, four sets (30 reps, then 15/15/15) with 30-second rests, at a weight that's normally good for 30+ reps. More isn't better — the light load is the whole point.
What if it's not the right fit?
There's a 30-day money-back window — if there's no difference, send it back for a full refund, no restocking fees (return shipping is at your expense). Every set is covered by a 1-year warranty.
The Holtrow promise
Thirty days to feel it. Or money back.
A month of short sessions is a fair test. If the muscles don't feel fuller and harder-worked than light weights have any right to make them, one email brings a full refund — you just cover the return shipping.
