App Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 September 2026

This policy covers the Holtrow app for iPhone and Android, the companion app for the Holtrow Pulse neckband. Purchases made on holtrow.com are covered by our store privacy policy instead.

The short version

The app collects nothing. There is no account, no sign-in and no server. Everything the app remembers stays on your phone, and we never see it. We do not use analytics, crash reporting, advertising or tracking of any kind.

What the app stores on your phone

  • Your session history: which mode you used, the intensity, how long it ran, and whether it finished or was stopped early.
  • Your preferences: the intensity and duration you last used for each mode, your reminder time, and whether you have read the safety notice.
  • The identifier of the Pulse band you paired with, so the app can reconnect to it.

None of this is transmitted anywhere. It lives in the app's private storage on your device, and it is included in your phone's own backups if you have those switched on, under your own control and your phone maker's terms.

Permissions the app asks for, and why

  • Bluetooth — to find your Pulse band and send it commands. This is the only thing Bluetooth is used for. The app does not scan for or collect information about any other device.
  • Notifications — optional. Used to tell you a session has finished, and to send the single daily reminder if you choose to set one. You can turn reminders off at any time in Settings.
  • Location (Android 11 and older only) — those versions of Android required apps to hold location permission before they were allowed to scan for any Bluetooth device. The app never requests, reads, stores or transmits your location. On Android 12 and newer this permission is not requested at all.

Children

The app is not directed at children, and the Holtrow Pulse is not intended for use by children.

Deleting your data

Uninstalling the app removes everything it has stored. You can also tap Forget in Settings to remove the paired band. Because none of this data ever reaches us, there is nothing for us to delete on our side and no request you need to make.

Changes

If we ever change how the app handles information, we will update this page and the date at the top of it. If a future version of the app collects anything at all, we will say so here before it ships.
